Inteli's academic research gains strength and recognition

In the year of its first graduating class, Inteli is strengthening its academic production, integrating students into research and impacting education, industry and society.

The year 2025 is symbolic for Inteli. In addition to the graduation of its first class, our academic output has gained even more pace, diversity and maturity. What we see now is a vibrant research ecosystem, connected to the world and deeply aligned with our purpose: to train leaders capable of using technology to transform society.

Doing research means pushing the boundaries of teaching. Building knowledge means going beyond individual cognitive development to generate collective impact. We have demonstrated that the results of our methodology are effective; and, more than proving our ability to create artifacts, we have provided scientific evidence of how these artifacts transform the world around us."

A plural, interdisciplinary and connected ecosystem

Publications by professors, researchers and students show that Inteli is already working on issues that are at the heart of major technological transformations. Among the most recurrent focuses are:

  • Computer Education and active methodologies, with special emphasis on studies on PBL, formative assessment and innovative teaching strategies;
  • Artificial intelligence and machine learning, including applications in NLP, prediction, intelligent systems and advanced algorithms;
  • Security and cybersecurity systems, with investigations into blockchain, IoT, cryptography and AI agent-oriented architecture;
  • Robotics, computer vision and hardware, often integrated into projects with real impact;
  • Digital transformation, software engineering and innovation processes, connecting academic research to industry demands;
  • Assistive technologies and social impact, with solutions for education, health, accessibility and inclusion.

This diversity shows that research at Inteli is born out of real problems and talks naturally with contemporary challenges. Much more than a theoretical exercise, it is a living movement that combines science, technology and purpose.

Students as science producers

Another highlight is the constant presence of our students in publications. Scientific initiation work appears in themes such as:

  • applied quantum computing;
  • digital transformation;
  • robotics and computer vision;
  • educational games and assistive technologies;
  • data analysis and intelligent systems.

This reveals an important differential: research is an organic part of training, not a parallel activity. Students investigate, present at relevant events and learn science by doing - in line with the essence of PBL.

Scientific rigor is essential to guarantee accurate and reliable results. By integrating themselves into a culture of investigation, students learn to be detail-oriented and responsible, developing critical skills that impact their professional and ethical training. This approach prepares students to make informed decisions, understanding the consequences of their mistakes and promoting excellence in their practice.

The Academic Trail as a bridge between education and science

Throughout the year, the Academic Track has established itself as a space for scientific experimentation. Fourth-year students delve into advanced topics, investigate complex problems and work side by side with teachers who are also active researchers.

The combination of PBL and formal research creates a unique environment: students learn to ask good questions, test hypotheses, validate solutions and communicate science clearly.

Even though it is young, Inteli has a clear vocation for producing relevant knowledge. In a country that needs more engineers, more innovation and more science, Inteli assumes its role with responsibility and ambition: to build knowledge, train talent and contribute to a more technological, competitive and inclusive Brazil.
