This was the proposal of the paper presented at the 7th Regional Workshop on Information and Computer Systems Security (WRSeg 2023), developed by Victor Hayashi, Renato Penha and a team of Inteli students.
The study presents a solution based on smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain to create mutual insurance pools, where members come together to protect themselves against specific risks. The administration of the groups is carried out partially and automatically by smart contracts, which guarantee the execution of the agreed conditions, as well as maintaining business rules and financial reserves.
Users interact with the system via a web application integrated with a Web API3, allowing them to manage groups and the compensation process in an agile and secure manner.
The proposal offers an innovative and accessible alternative to the insurance market, promoting greater autonomy, cost reduction and transparency, benefits made possible by the use of blockchain. Access the full article here.
