What will I learn on the Information Systems course?

Professor José Romualdo

As a tutor at Inteli, it's a joy to share what makes the Information Systems course such a unique and transformative experience. If you've ever wondered how technology moves the world, and how you can be a protagonist in this change, this article is for you.

At Inteli, the Information Systems course goes far beyond theory. We train leaders capable of understanding technology in depth and, above all, applying it to innovate and solve real challenges. It's a practical and intense journey, in which each module becomes an opportunity for hands-on learning and the construction of impactful solutions.

The Fundamentals of Technology: Programming and Data

We begin your journey by building a solid foundation in computing. You will learn the principles of programming, from the logic of algorithms to the development of complete applications. This includes mastering languages, creating interfaces and structuring information in databases.

For example, in the first modules, you'll dive into creating digital games (Module 01) and developing applications for web environments (Module 02). My experience in the classroom shows me that this initial immersion is very effective in solidifying computational thinking.

We will learn about:

  • Algorithms and Data Structures: The basis for solving any computational problem.
  • Web Programming and Development: Building what we see and interact with on the Internet.
  • Databases: The art of organizing and accessing large volumes of information.

Turning Data into Decisions: Big Data, AI and Analytics

In an increasingly connected world, data is valuable. On the Information Systems course, you will learn how to collect, process and, most importantly, extract value from this data. This involves:

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

In Module 03 (Logic for prediction with artificial intelligence) and Module 11 (Predictive modeling in business applications using Deep Learning), you will face the challenge of creating AI solutions, such as those used in fraud detection. I've seen students build Deep Learning models that really impress with their accuracy.

Natural Language Processing (NLP)

During Module 06 (Application-based Natural Language Processing) you will develop algorithms to analyze sentiment on social networks, understanding what people think and feel about products or services.

Big Data and Management Analysis

In Module 08 (Big Data Integration, Management and Analysis) and Module 09 (Management Data Reports and Dashboards), you will learn how to build dashboards that allow managers to make decisions based on clear and accurate information.

Behavioral Analysis

Module 10 (Behavioral Analysis of Digital Interface Users) covers how to analyze user behavior and implement A/B tests on websites, including using Monte Carlo simulation to optimize the digital experience. This is an area of great impact for companies looking to improve interaction with their customers.

Connecting Technology and Strategy: Management and Innovation

The Information Systems professional is the strategic link between technology and business objectives. More than programming, they understand the impact of each solution on the daily lives of organizations and people. That's why their training includes

  • Project Management: Learn to plan, execute and monitor technology projects, ensuring that solutions are delivered as expected.
  • Corporate Governance: In Module 07 (Management Systems and Corporate Governance), you will participate in the implementation of a management system in a real business scenario. It's an opportunity to see how technology optimizes an entire operation.
  • Blockchain and Innovation: In Module 05 (Decentralized Software using Blockchain), the challenge is to develop secure and decentralized applications, exploring one of today's most disruptive technologies.

My classes are often surprised to see how learning connects directly with market needs. The projects we develop at Inteli, like the ones you can see on our website, are solutions designed for real challenges, often in partnership with large companies.

A Future of Opportunities

A degree in Information Systems at Inteli prepares you for a versatile, high-demand career.
