Welcome Marcella Tranchesi on InteliCast was a joy, and above all, a powerful reminder of what happens when someone decides to transform what they love into something greater than themselves.
Marcella came to tell us the story of Doce Aquarela, but what we heard was more than just the history of a cake brand. It was the story of a woman who brought together three powerful forces: the courage to start, the authenticity to stay true to herself, and the discipline to grow her business every day.
And this applies to any field: technology, fashion, digital entrepreneurship, corporate careers. It applies especially to those who are forging their own path.
When purpose meets execution
There is a romanticism surrounding "doing what you love," but few people talk about the other half of the equation: doing what is necessary. Marcella started selling cakes because it was a hobby, but she built Doce Aquarela because she decided to execute, with method, with data, with rhythm.
She understood something fundamental for any entrepreneur:
Everyone has good ideas. What sets people apart is the ability to turn ideas into results, and results into learning.
And that applies to products, companies, careers, and even personal choices. In the end, winning is much more about consistency than genius.
Authenticity is not charm: it is strategy
One of the most beautiful parts of the conversation was when we talked about authenticity.
There are people who perform authenticity; others live with authenticity.
Marcella belongs to the second group. And that is a competitive strength. Because in a world saturated with content, brands, and opinions, being who you really are is what sustains trust in the long term.
This also applies to work relationships, leadership, and how we deal with our own limitations. Authenticity is light, sustainable, and deeply human. And for that very reason, it is so rare.
Leadership is an example, not a position
Marcella spoke about learning to lead, about discomfort, about asking for help. And, in the midst of all this, she said something that should be on the cover of every management manual:
Nothing beats example.
And that's exactly what it is.
Leadership does not come from the organizational chart. Leadership comes from everyday behavior, from the person who leads the team through commitment, not rhetoric; who inspires through dedication, not position; who builds trust through consistency, not perfection.
At Inteli, we emphasize this point: leadership is about serving a purpose, not the ego.
Courage is going even without having all the answers.
One thing struck me deeply: when Marcella said that she only discovered that it could work because she had the courage to try, even though she was afraid, even though she didn't have control over everything, even though she knew she could fail.
This reminded me of Inteli's own birth. Creating something that did not exist in Brazil required exactly this kind of courage: the courage to jump before knowing if the ground was ready.
Entrepreneurship, and building a meaningful career, is always this pact with the unknown.
What does this conversation mean for those who dream of becoming entrepreneurs?
The episode with Marcella conveys three important messages:
1. Work hard.
No one gets very far by working little, in any field.
2. Always keep learning.
Answers change, and those who don't keep up get left behind.
3. Don't compromise who you are.
Authenticity takes you further than any strategy.
And, perhaps most importantly: nothing is guaranteed.
Not even for those who started yesterday, nor for those who are already successful.
It is a daily endeavor. The results are too.
Why does this topic matter to Inteli?
Because we train young people who want to innovate, create products, start companies, and lead people. And that requires more than just technical skills; it requires character, courage, humility, and purpose.
When we receive stories like Marcella's, we show that:
- Entrepreneurship is not glamour, it is resilience.
- influence is also leadership;
- digital businesses are, first and foremost, human businesses;
- Technology and data empower dreams, but they cannot replace daily commitment to delivery.
Inteli was born from this same logic: combining passion with execution, method with purpose, dreams with responsibility.
And this conversation is an invitation for every student, every young person, and every professional to think:
what can I build that is greater than myself?
