Collaboration is the basis of learning at Inteli. Discover how PBL transforms theory into exchange, interaction and the collective construction of knowledge.

I have dedicated a significant part of my career to research into collaboration and, specifically, the PBL (Project-Based Learning) methodology and its ramifications. And if there's one thing I believe with all my might, it's that meaningful learning flourishes in interaction, in the exchange of knowledge and in the synergy that only happens when people work together.

Bringing in a bit of theory, Dillenbourg and Schneider (1995) argue that collaborative activities involve actions in which the person has to explain what they think to their partner. Those who listen come into contact with new knowledge, and those who explain have the opportunity to verbalize and elaborate their own knowledge in order to be understood by others.

The social dimension also benefits from collaboration. Collaborative activities involve constant feedback between people. This requires intellectual effort on both sides in order to understand each other.

One of the most fascinating parts of collaborative learning is how it becomes a two-way street. With every interaction, everyone involved has the opportunity to be both teacher and student. This constant exchange of roles enriches our understanding and skills in ways that wouldn't be possible otherwise. Therein lies the real magic of collaboration.

Reflecting on our journey at Inteli, we can clearly see how the collaborative approach is ingrained in our culture, as we believe that this exchange of knowledge is the essence of a true learning community.
