Can you imagine your first college project being a game?

At Inteli, electronic games are more than just fun: they are the gateway to real projects, technical and socio-emotional skills in technology education.

If games have the power to transport us to another reality, electronic games do so even more intensely, with clear rules that can hardly be circumvented. It's in the workings of the algorithm that game designers build idealized universes - sometimes magical and enchanting, sometimes dark and challenging.

It's not hard to imagine young people full of dreams and the desire to transform the future marveling at the chance to put these ideals into practice within a game, through code and pixels.

At Inteli, this is exactly how the journey of the first year in the courses of Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems e Adm Tech.

Beyond fun

What may seem like a joke to many outsiders is actually a collective effort that brings together many different pieces to create a unique experience.

Through a combination of Agile Methodologies and Project Based Learning, students are challenged to learn programming, logic, project management, game design, narrative creation, asset development and many other technical skills in just ten weeks.

At the end, they present a viable solution to a real problem faced by a market partner. IBM, Oracle, UFAL, FM-USP, Vivo and several other institutions have already put their trust in our students' energy and willingness to learn - and none of them have regretted their choice.

Far beyond technique

Putting projects into practice goes beyond the technical side: it also involves developing socio-emotional skills. These are skills and behaviors worked on intentionally by the academic team and the Leadership Development Center.

Training by technique alone is a thing of the past. In a world marked by automation and rapid access to information, the real risk is that critical thinking doesn't keep up with the speed of technology.

For this reason, socio-emotional competencies are fundamental not only to ensuring our students' employability, but also to preparing citizens capable of building an up-to-date - and, above all, humane - society. At Inteli, they develop self-knowledge, communication and other essential skills, always in line with the values of Global Citizenship.

Real impact of the games created by the students

The result can be seen in our productions(visit our public directories for more information):

  • Training games for employees of global companies, always respecting the corporate culture but without losing the local identity;
  • Games to solve real problems in the health area, such as educating the population about burn prevention and administering correct first aid;
  • Games to educate children about computational thinking, helping to train little thinkers, opening up a world of possibilities for those who will be our future...

What better way to introduce our students to this challenge and responsibility than through a complete medium that is as close to our daily lives and human socialization as games?

Games bring us closer together and make us forget our differences. At Inteli, they are our gateway and welcome to a world that is opening up to young people from all over the country (and the world, since we are going international!). The first contact with the understanding that their ideals can materialize into reality.
