AI for Business
Essential in practice

No prior knowledge of AI is required.
Who is this training for?
If you still have questions about what to ask, where to apply it, and how to assess whether the AI's response actually helps solve a problem, you're on the right track.
This training is for you if:
You know you need to incorporate AI into your work, but you haven't found a clear starting point yet;
Uses AI tools on an ad hoc or basic basis, without a repeatable method;
Do you want to understand where AI can truly help in your context and also recognize its limitations;
I want to come away from the training with a solution that works for a real-world problem.
What if you already use AI frequently?
If this applies to you and you want to move on to more complex agents, automations, and processes, the ideal training for you is AI for Business: Tools in Action.
Who You Are Before and After “The Essentials in Practice”
WHO'S COMING
--
Someone who is knowledgeable in their field but hasn't yet found a consistent way to work with AI.
You may have already tried out some tools or are just starting to use them, but there’s a real problem in your work that could be better solved with AI, and you need a method to get there.
WHO'S LEAVING
6 hours of in-person instruction
A professional with an AI assistant ready to be used in their own professional context.
You'll learn how to ask better questions, set up the solution, test your answers, and document how to use it in a workflow.
What You Experience During Training
During the training, you’ll start with a specific problem and walk through the process needed to turn AI into a solution that makes sense for your work.
In-person training on campus (6 hours)
Start with the problem: understand where AI can add value in your context and learn how to turn a real need into a question that can be addressed using AI.
Set up your assistant: with guidance from instructors, you’ll design an AI assistant to address the problem you’ve chosen, defining the context, instructions, and criteria for its responses.
Test, evaluate, and refine: A good response isn’t enough. You’ll learn to assess what works, identify limitations, and adjust prompts and instructions to achieve more consistent results.
Benefits of the Essentials in Practice
Assistant Configured
By the end of the 6-hour in-person session, you’ll have an AI assistant configured to solve a real-world problem and a documented workflow.
A method that withstands change
Tools change rapidly, but their ability to structure and guide the use of technology remains.
